10 Reasons to Use Pipedrive

It's now been about 8 years since I first started using Pipedrive as my main business CRM, and about 6 years since I've been helping my clients get the most of this great Customer Relationship Management solution.

Before settling on Pipedrive as my CRM of choice, I cycled through many other CRM during the preceding few years. I never found a CRM that really suited my workflow, budget and usability needs. Other CRM that I tried often lacked usability or were too bloated (too many features I just didn't need) or lacking in key features. The fact that I've now personally used Pipedrive for a decade speaks volumes.

There are many reasons to like Pipedrive - here are my current top 10:

A highly intuitive user interface

For me personally, this is Pipedrive's number one feature - it's excellent usability on both desktop and mobile devices.

Your sales team will be far more productive using a CRM designed with the end user in mind. Pipedrive has excellent UX and is a pleasure to use.

Personally I get frustrated by poorly designed and clunky software that gets in the way of the work I want to do. As mentioned, before finding Pipedrive I'd been through about 4 or 5 different CRM (including the usual suspects) and had usually given up after a few months because I wasn't enjoying the experience.

My relationship with Pipedrive has been a whole different experience. Built by sales people for sales people, Pipedrive makes it easy to get the job done!

No Lock In Period

After a free trial (Process Culture offers a 30 day extended free trial) you can pay on a month-by-month basis. Cancel at any time without being locked in to an annual contract. Other CRM often tie you to minimum contract terms - that's not the case with Pipedrive.

Pipedrive offers a number of pricing tiers to suit most budgets - you can dip your toes with Pipedrive's Essential plan at $24US / month (as of JUne 2025) or go for more advanced features such as workflow automation and email sync for $49 US / month on the Advanced plan.

If you're looking for even more functionality - such as custom reporting and an AI powered assistant and email tools - then the Professional plan at $69 US / month might be more appropriate. Pipedrive also has higher tier plans such as the Power plan ($79 US / month) which comes with Pipedrive projects support and all the features of the Professional plan and the Enterprise plan at $129 US / month. The main takeaway here is that there's a plan for every need and budget and absolutely no lock in.

Flexible and Customisable

It's very easy to model the data you want to capture for your specific customer types and business use cases. You can easily add custom data fields and model relationships in the CRM. This is especially important when you're using Pipedrive to segment lead, prospect and customer data for Marketing. It's easy to add labels or custom fields to track "lead source" and marketing campaign metrics in the CRM.

When starting a new engagement with Pipedrive clients - especially those who are new to the CRM - we tend to spend significant time identifying what custom fields are needed for contacts, leads and deals. Each client will have their own data requirements - Pipedrive's custom field support makes it easy to customise the CRM data model to their exact needs.

Great Value for Money

Start from one low monthly investment and only upgrade as and when you need extra functionality. For many users, the Essential plan (from $14 US per user per month) or Advanced plan (from $29 US per user per month) has all the capability you need. Compared to their competitors, Pipedrive offer great value plans that are still full of the important features you'd expect from a top of the range CRM.
